Results are in! We are happy to announce that the 2015 Land of Promise won Gold and the Judges Selection TexSom International Wine Awards! Congrats to our winemaker Diana! Texas, here we come!
Charles and Diana Karren were pleased to host the Right Reverend William Miller on Sunday September 9th to Bless our vineyard Terra de Promissio. Father Bill as he is known went home to Covington, Louisiana (Outside of New Orleans) to his church: Christ Episcopal Church where he gave a beautiful sermon on…..us. We have been and are still touched by his visit and his sermon. He captured our story beautifully. Most importantly, he related it to a great life lesson of “Letting it Go”. Please click the link above to listen to the sermon. And below, are pics and the copy of the Blessing from Father Bill’s visit.
THE BLESSING OF THE VINEYARD - September 9, 2018 - Terra de Promissio
Loving God, Creator of the Earth, Giver of every good gift:
We acknowledge that everything we are and everything we have belongs to you and is because of you - because of your love, your goodness, your kindness and your grace.
We thank you for this land, these vines, this soil, and the climate that allows growth. We thank you for those who plant, tend and harvest. We thank you for those who blend, age, and bottle. And we thank you for those who drink and share.
May we always be good stewards of all that you have entrusted to us - land and labor, ideas and dreams, plants and earth.
May this land be blessed with abundance, and may this abundance bless many others in many ways - reminding them of you and your goodness.
May the fruit of these vines gladden hearts and empower others to 'taste and see that God is good!'
Loving God, may your wisdom, vision, power and purpose be upon Charles, Diana, their parents, their children Christian and Grace, and upon all those who offer their gifts, labor, and tender care among these vines.
Bless these people. Bless this place. Through each bless this world you have so wondrously made.
In the name of the One who revealed himself to be your Son by turning water into wine at the wedding feast, the One who is the True Vine, and whose sacrificial love is celebrated in a common cup, Jesus Christ our Lord. AMEN.

Land of Promise is pleased to announce that the Mailing List is open to take orders for the inaugural 2013 Land of Promise Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. The Land of Promise was harvested from Terra de Promissio in September 2013 and was in French Oak Barrels for 18 months. The wine was bottled this past summer and is now ready to be released.
Alina Zarr, one of the three proprietors of Land of Promise stated:
"We are very excited about this wine. 2013 was a great growing season and harvest. My sister Diana has worked very hard overseeing the whole wine-making process--from personally handpicking the grapes to the crush to fermentation thru barreling, blending, bottling and now release."
"The wines of Terra de Promissio are always special, but this wine has special meaning as this is our family's first wine."
Only 100 cases of the 2013 Land of Promise has been produced. To order this wine, first you will need to join the mailing list on this web site. You will then receive an email outlining the ordering steps. We anticipate to ship the wine in early 2016.
