Our wine

Land of Promise is sourced exclusively from our own vineyard: Terra de Promissio. We have been blessed to be able to collaborate with some of the best pinot noir winemakers over the last 17 years. We have used this knowledge to launch our own wine: Land of Promise.  By living and farming the vineyard, we are able to focus on our favorite sites and create a wine that uniquely express the terroir of Terra de Promissio at its finest. The 2014 is now available to purchase.

Our Story

Our story is a story of a family pursuing the American dream, with hard work and sacrifices made along the way to create something special for our children and the generations that will follow them.  Our ultimate goal is to create a wine, which expresses the unique terroir of our vineyard, Terra de Promissio, the commitment and passion of three generations who farm it, and the promise of this land.

Our vineyard

Terra de Promissio is the most designated Pinot Noir vineyard in Sonoma County. Wineries such as Castello di Amerosa, Domaine Della, Dutcher Crossing, Friedman, Lynmar, Senses, Spell, Whetstone and Williams-Selyem have made wines with Terra de Promissio grapes and received numerous awards and accolades, including the Wine Spectator’s 2011 Wine of the Year - the 2009 Kosta Browne Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir.

Land of Promise Scores a 93!

Although we focus our winemaking efforts on capturing the unique expression of our vineyard, it is always validating to get great scores from wine critics. We are happy to report that Wine Spectator gave 2014 Land of Promise 93 points. James Laube wrote: There’s an exciting tension among pure, rich, raspberry-laced fruit, touches of graphite and crushed rock, tar and anise flavors. Impressive for the vibrancy of the acidity and the structure provided by the tannins.
